Here’s a mistake you’re probably making right now.
You know about the Google keyword tool? Sounds familiar right?
Normally when people start building their websites, they start with the Google keyword planner tool.
That let’s them check which keywords are getting lots of monthly searches. That way you could build a site around those keywords.
In theory it makes sense…
Find keywords with tons of traffic… make a website targeting those keywords… eazy peezy.
Using only on the Google keyword tool is a big no-no in my book.
Yeah, use it as part of your overall research, but don’t just rely on that.
The keyword tool doesn’t tell you what’s selling. It doesn’t tell you who’s buying what. It doesn’t tell you which keywords you should avoid.
You can do all the research you want, but if you pick the wrong keyword to go after you’re just going to waste your time.
Those are my .2 cents.
If you’re interested in selling your website down the line, here’s what I recommend…
Focus your research on Flippa – it’s a marketplace where people buy and sell websites.
It gives you a better idea of what’s selling and what isn’t.
A lot of people skip this step…. this gives you a slight advantage over them.
It isn’t that difficult to do as long as you know how.
For a simple way to spy on the marketplace so you can quickly know what’s hot and selling fast, click this link!
